It s all about learning how to ride a bike on this week s Daddy Tips.
This week’s first Daddy Tip is going to be some sad news for parents of toddlers. Toddlers eventually outgrow naps and just stop taking them. Charlotte hasn’t napped in over a week, and we have finally decided that we wouldn’t even try anymore. So, I wanted to do a moment of silence for all the parents who lost free time this year from their kid no longer napping.
The next Daddy Tip is to start shopping for your bikes, sandboxes, and kiddie pools because things are already starting to sell out. We bought Charlotte her first bike this weekend and it was the last one they had at Target. And when we looked at the sandboxes and pools, they only had a few left as well. Don’t get caught in the dust like so many people did last year trying to buy that stuff and get it now while you still have a chance. It’s a great way to spend your stimulus money!
Cast: Katy Brand, Lee Latchford-Evans, Robert Portal, Nicholas Vince, Ian Virgo
Storyline: Old school friends go on a paintball trip miles away from civilization. But things go horribly wrong when they discover a cold-blooded masked killer is amongst them. Now, they must fight to survive their school reunion.

Halifax’s Ben Proudfoot’s documentary short gets Oscar nom. It’s a good week to be Ben Proudfoot: The Halifax-raised filmmaker co-directed the 2021 documentary short
A Concerto is a Conversation, which is now up for an Oscar, as announced Monday by The Academy. (Arguably, though, Proudfoot has already won the ultimate prize by working alongside the Oscar-winning filmmaker Ava Duvernay, the genius behind
13th,
When They See Us, as Duvernay has an executive producer credit on the doc.)
A Concerto is a Conversation is Proudfoot’s first nod from the Oscars. It follows a jazz pianist’s family lineage from Jim Crow-era Florida to the Walt Disney concert hall. Released through the New York Times’ Op-Doc series, you can watch the full 13 minute film on the NYT’s YouTube channel.
